Do not think that the Jews and Christians wouldn't preserve their scriptures with as much love and vigor as Muslims.
God would ensure that His Word isn't a dud, you should have faith in God that He protects His Word by His Spirit.
God does protect His Message, but it wasn't done through Trinitarians. Jesus' true followers continued to follow his message for centuries.
And there were NO Christians that believed the Islamic take on Christ.
Most believed that He was Lord, some believed He was the Lord but seperate from the Father and not God, others believe he was just an visible manifestation of the Logos (Gnostic).
Suppose a grouop just believed he was a prophets (What is their name? Did a group like this exist)
None believed a prophet would supercede the Messiah.
ALL Christian groups believed that Jesus was cruficied, died, and ressuected!
That's not true at all. True Christians believed in the Divine Unity and Jesus' Prophethood and role as the Messiah and NOT that he resurrected.
Interesting note, the Mandeans, a Gnostic sect that believes John the Baptist was the Messiah and who believed Jesus was a bad false prophet that stole John's teachings (They hated Jesus like the Jews), well these people believed that Jesus escaped the crucifixion and Judas was actually crucified.
How do you feel about having a belief only these heretical Jesus-hating Gnostics have?
Except I DON'T have that belief since John the Baptist wasn't the Messiah nor does the Qur'an say that Judas was crucified.
Only a small percentage of scribes would be as you described, really small. The same would hold true with Muslims scribes and the Quran.
Except that memorizing AND transcribing the texts by hundreds of people around the lands makes contorting the message impossible. There is nothing more than can be done to insure a text is not changed.
Praying to God is a personal thing, not something society imposes on someone. Islamic law requires that everyone prays five times a day. In a sense that is control of one's personal life.
Prayer isn't imposed by anyone but God. Nobody forces you to pray. Nobody sees whether or not you pray but God.
Because the banks would go bankrupt, people take money and spend it and never pay back. The bank would eventually lose money if it did not require interest. Imagine a society with no bank.
Poor peple get a job and make money, and if they borrow money from the bank, they pay that money back with interest like the rest of us. The bank is not an oppresive intuition, but a part of the system we all live under. Jesus said "render unto Caesar the things that are Caesars, but render unto God the things that are God's"
If the poor didn't pay back their money with interest, or get everything free and stuff, we would pay alot more taxes and stuff. It's called Socialism and it turns out to be worse for the poor. You know that system fails.
You just justified usury and you're a Christian. You lend people money because you believe in God, not because you want an extra payment for giving them the money. Banks can still exist without charging interest, they just wouldn't be gigantic corporations enslaving people.
When I really test you, you twist and turn to escape saying that usury is clearly forbidden.
If Caesar asks you to disobey God, who do you obey?
Eden was on earth, not in heaven. Big difference.
Well I guess we disagree on this.
This is a little off subject, but why would God want his angels to do that?
Because that's what God willed and to show that man is the most favored among God's creations.
