Christian/Muslim ThreadsWhy wont Muhammed come back at Judgement?Peace humble guest, This is true with most of the Prophets in the Bible. Prophet Jeremiah, for example, had a scribe who was also a prophet, Baruch. that wrote down all that Jeremiah said and He himself wrote a book. The Torah was written partly by Moses Himself, because obviously he didn't records his own death. A pre-Mark passion narrative was found to be written within a decade after Jesus's life. Archeological evidence supports the Gospel Message is accurate. Do not think that the Jews and Christians wouldn't preserve their scriptures with as much love and vigor as Muslims. God would ensure that His Word isn't a dud, you should have faith in God that He protects His Word by His Spirit. All that you read in the Gospels today are fully derived and supported in old prophectic writings of Judaism. I have never once doubted the authenticity of the Gospels. If I could not trace my beliefs to the Prophets, then I would have no basis for my beliefs. And there were NO Christians that believed the Islamic take on Christ. Most believed that He was Lord, some believed He was the Lord but seperate from the Father and not God, others believe he was just an visible manifestation of the Logos (Gnostic). Suppose a grouop just believed he was a prophets (What is their name? Did a group like this exist) None believed a prophet would supercede the Messiah. ALL Christian groups believed that Jesus was cruficied, died, and ressuected! Interesting note, the Mandeans, a Gnostic sect that believes John the Baptist was the Messiah and who believed Jesus was a bad false prophet that stole John's teachings (They hated Jesus like the Jews), well these people believed that Jesus escaped the crucifixion and Judas was actually crucified. How do you feel about having a belief only these heretical Jesus-hating Gnostics have? Those that corrupt the scriptures and Message create cults. These cults are distinguishable from the original religion because most scribes did carefully copy the scriptures. Only a small percentage of scribes would be as you described, really small. The same would hold true with Muslims scribes and the Quran. Praying to God is a personal thing, not something society imposes on someone. Islamic law requires that everyone prays five times a day. In a sense that is control of one's personal life. Yes! That too. Because the banks would go bankrupt, people take money and spend it and never pay back. The bank would eventually lose money if it did not require interest. Imagine a society with no bank. Poor peple get a job and make money, and if they borrow money from the bank, they pay that money back with interest like the rest of us. The bank is not an oppresive intuition, but a part of the system we all live under. Jesus said "render unto Caesar the things that are Caesars, but render unto God the things that are God's" If the poor didn't pay back their money with interest, or get everything free and stuff, we would pay alot more taxes and stuff. It's called Socialism and it turns out to be worse for the poor. You know that system fails. Jesus lived off what people gave him. He ate at peoples houses and stuff, he wouldn't have a need to borrow money. He got his disciples to catch him fish. Eden was on earth, not in heaven. Big difference. You belieev that Adam and Eve were pre-existence men, dwelling for a time with God. Jews and Christians don't believe this. You believe that God ordered the Angels to bow to Adam, like the apocryphal story "The Life of Adam and Eve". This is a little off subject, but why would God want his angels to do that? |
