ArchivedWhat Jehovahs Witnesses believeBasis for their teachings? Sure! If biblical passages are taken out of context and proper discernment is not used. There are a lot of JW's who are nice people, but they teach the wrong doctrine. For example, take for instance that link you gave me. It says JW's believe Christ died on a stake and not a cross and gives you Galatians 3:13, Acts 5:30 as references. Neither of those passages say Christ died on a stake. Those passages mention a "tree" which is figurative language representing the cross. What is the cross made out of? Nowhere does the Holy Bible say Christ died on a stake. The answers are right in front of them and they continue to ignore it and make up their own doctrine. As Christ says, "If the blind lead the blind, then they will both fall into a ditch." I also gave you other examples in my previous post. So again, by giving that link, you're just proving the point even more that many of the teachings of JW's have no basis whatsoever. They just go around with smiley faces and a simple mind spreading these lies that's being taught to them by knocking on your doors using no discernment whatsoever. Thank God I know a few people who actually saw the light that left this cult. Again, some of their teachings are true such as, Man did not evolve but was created, and simple things of that nature. But when you teach things like only 144,000 people will be saved (keep in mind that there are millions involved in this cult) and Christ is inferior to God (Christ humbled Himself, was not inferior), then we got a problem. |
