Christian/Muslim ThreadsQuestions for ChristiansHello there Lady Fatima! ??? Can faith come without experiencing a miracle? YES! Can faith or better yet True Faith come about with experiencing a miracle? Lets see for ourselves. Mans deifinition of faith according to the dictionary: [n] loyalty or allegiance to a cause or a person; "keep the faith"; "they broke faith with their investors" [n] complete confidence in a person or plan etc; "he cherished the faith of a good woman"; "the doctor-patient relationship is based on trust" [n] a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny; "he lost his faith but not his morality" [n] institution to express belief in a divine power; "he was raised in the Baptist religion"; "a member of his own faith contradicted him" God's definition of faith according to the Spiritually understood. and through the apostles. It is written:Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. So in other words, if one experiences a miracle and then converting to Christianity is not genuine faith. Furthermore the passage above is not really a definition of what exactly faith is but it is describing what faith can do. From faith we can get substance{Gr. hypostasis}, which literally means that we have or can obtain assurance. EXAMPLE: That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting. 2 Corinthians 11:17 Also faith will provide you evidence{Gr. elegchos} before evidence is seen, evidence in sense there is proof which will result in one being convicted and then relying on God to obtain salvation through Jesus. But you must understand that having assurance and the evidence would not be much of a difference if it were not for the things hoped for and the things not seen. Hope first and then the reality of things not seen, do you understand this as of yet my friend? Hope for resurrection and redemption of body and soul and to be glorified. There is reality which is not visible such as with the forgiveness of sins through the Son of God Jesus. There you have it the words"Good deeds" gave it away. It is written:Titus 3:5 - Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Also:Ephesians 2:9 - Not of works, lest any man should boast. In Christianity if one believes that one must be performing good works to obtain salvation is not complete trust or faith which relies on the grace of God which salvation is given and not by good deeds. It must be trusted and built upon the Grace of God. It is written:James 2:26 - For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Now this does not contradict what the Apostle Paul said regarding good deed or works. It is implying that a genuine convert with his trusting solely on the Grace of God and not works will naturally produce or do good works. Does this make sense to you my friend? Convinced you say!, in Christianity has stages, for example:
() () () Everybody is someone! You are someone, man is someone, woman is someone. Anyone and not someone can perform such miracles if they could only BELIEVE! And The Word of God{Jesus}:: But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. Luke 8:50 Key Words:Believe and Whole. Do you understand where i am coming from? Believe:
