ArchivedWhat Jehovahs Witnesses believeThere is no evidence to back up their false beliefs, and with discernment their teachings are clearly shown to be false. Show me in the Bible where Christ died on a stake. And when JW's teach this, they mean it literally because they are distinguishing between a stake and the cross (Not like when the Holy Bible refers to Christ dying on a "tree" which is metaphorically used--it can also be literal in a sense seeing that the cross was made out of a tree). JW's also teach that Christ resurrected as a spiritual body and not physical. What Jesus say when His desciples thought they had saw a spirit? Luke 24:37-39>But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, "Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have." Another one which they teach which goes against essential Christian doctrine is that Christ is Michael the Archangel and that Jesus returned to earth in spirit in 1914, and established His kingdom in heaven. No grounds for those beliefs whatsoever. They also teach that Christ is not God, but the son of God being inferior to Jehova. We all know that all false teachings begin with a misconception of the nature of God. There are other differences also. You can check out the link in the third post. |
