Christian/Muslim ThreadsReverend Professor David JenkinsAlmonte wrote: Most famous among the Church of England bishops, who doubt Jesus’ divinity, is the outspoken Reverend Professor David Jenkins, the Bishop of Durham in England, who openly states that Jesus was not God.
The following article, which appeared in The Daily News some years ago, clearly indicates the degree to which there are doubts among the clergy regarding Jesus’ divinity.
Shock survey
Of Anglican bishops
LONDON: More than half of England’s Anglican bishops say Christians are not obliged to believe that Jesus Christ was God, according to a survey published today.
The poll of 31 of England’s 39 bishops shows that many of them think that Christ’s miracles, the virgin birth and the resurrection might not have happened exactly as described in the Bible.
Only 11 of the bishops insisted that Christians must regard Christ as both God and man, while 19 said it was sufficient to regard Jesus as “God’s supreme agent”. One declined to give a definite opinion.
The poll was carried out by London Weekend Television’s weekly religion show, Credo.

It's no wonder why most Catholics are so confused, not only about their beliefs, but their religion as well. It's no surprise really.
Imagine meeting a Catholic who is just as Catholic as you are. You tell him what you were taught in church. He denies your belief concerning a certain religious topic and says that he was taught differently or that he simply just doesn't agree with you.
Jeez, how embarrassing is that in the Catholic church? Now I assume some Catholics in here are going to tell me that those are the kind of Catholics that are either misled, weak in the faith, brought down by Satan...blah, blah, blah, yakitty-schmakitty.
It doesn't matter what reason you can come up with. Even excuses like that creates all the confusion in your church. And if there's confusion in your church, then to hell with your religion.
