It is written: Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Job 40:15
Behemoth and Leviathan Job 40:15-24:
They are not mythical but they are indeed literal creatures, because they are observable, key word "Behold", and take into consideration that the rest of the Lords questions are dealing with real animals.
Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth. God is therefore proving unto Job both His great wisdom and power.
God Bless!
This is my point exactly! The Bible is clear that these are indeed literal creatures, and as you point out, the key word "behold" would imply that Job could actually behold them, i.e. they were living at the same time! I don't see how anyone could say that the Bible says that dinosaurs lived long before human and not at the same time when this passage pretty clearly states the opposite..... but I'm still waiting for Nick to provide a Bible passage to back up the view, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see what he comes up with.
Again fella's, the discussion of these terms (behemoth, and leviathan) need to be in conjunction with Hebrew context. Both word used are very general, and in no way can conclusively be aimed at any animal. These very well could have been large grazing land mammals and whales. There is no reason, and many against, suggesting these terms are suggesting dinosaurs.
