God in Christianity
Genesis 1
1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
He even has a Name:
Exodus 3
13 And Moses said unto Elohim(God), Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The Elohim(God) of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
14 And Elohim(God) said unto Moses, I AM THAT YAHWEH: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, Yahweh hath sent me unto you.
15 And Elohim(God) said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, Yahweh Elohim(God) of your fathers, the Elohim(God) of Abraham, the Elohim(God) of Isaac, and the Elohim(God) of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
Isaiah 42
5 Thus saith Elohim the Yahweh, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
6 I Yahweh have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8 I am Yahweh: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
The Book of John Chapter 13
13 Ye call me Master and Yahweh: and ye say well; for so I AM.
