OT God gave Moses a commandment which is stoning an adulterer, why is it not done today in Christianity?
Colossians 3:13 - Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Who can forgive but God alone, agreed?
The reason why Christ came to fulfill the OT laws is because God saw how hypocritical mankind and even His own people HAD BECOME, who knew the law but did not have it IN THEIR HEARTS.
And the sinful progression since the time the commandment was handed down to Moses and throughout the ages.
God saw how pitiful, blind and hypocritical the religous leaders had become, and that is why CHRIST had come to earth, to fulfill the law and to write them in the hearts of men an to show and display the most important factor.
It is written:Matthew 23:23 - Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Forgive and you will be forgiven, forgive not and you will not be forgiven, understand this my friend?
Jesus would say the same to day if He had seen the stoning death, agreed?
He would say,"Whoever among you that is WITHOUT SIN cast the first stone!"
God Bless!
