Archivedcan god hate????Does this verse mean that God's love transcends His holiness, then? Are you implying that holiness is not God's chief characteristic, but that love is? Or are you saying they are equal in importance? Using this logic, shouldn't 1 John 4:8 say"... God is love, love, love" since that characteristic is also applicable to all 3 persons of the Godhead? I was always under the impression that repeating things in Scripture was intended to bring emphasis to them, thus my example of "verily, verily." |
