ArchivedOneness, Trinity debate!I still do not have this quote stuff down yet...don't know how you all do it. I'm cutting and pasting but don't see it in the little box as yours. Yes I agree Alpha about number...God is all the numbers known and unknown. Thank you. Now, I want you to understand that someone else will define it differently. For example... if we look it up in a dictionary it will say: "a human being with a body, soul and spirit." The emphasis is on "a human being" and "a body." So when you say a distinct individual or distinct being...I know you are not saying 3 human beings. That's like KCRonalds's three objects and he doesn't mean it that way in explaing God either...I don't think. Now if I'm wrong please correct me at any time. I want to use your language to help explain your belief to others clearly with words. Alright next question. When describing three distinct individuals or beings...are you explaining it in a way that you believe you will see three different beings upon entrance to heaven? Or do you believe you will see only one being? The reason I'm asking is because I have no problem with the word trinity or the word oneness. It's the meaning one is to convey while keeping in mind what is another's natural perspective on it or what is his normal understanding of these words when he hears it. Will they be able to clearly understand your position? I believe in one God as well as you...but our explanation of the word Trinity may be different as it refers to the oneness of God. But it cannot be explained to give the impression to others that it is not absolutely one. So again...are you presenting a statement of belief that you will see three different, disticnt, VISIBLE individuals or beings in Heaven? I think this will help us along. This is not a test. You and I will not be graded....) Thanks Alpha, Jamesparker, and KCRonaldo for your input DMP PS. I hope you don't get mad at me or frustrated with me for being so specific. |
