Science, Creation & EvolutionFinding God in His wordYou don't have to believe in God to believe Him. You can believe in God because you know He exists through the promises He makes in His word. To simply tell most unbelievers "I believe in God because I believe in Him" simply won't cut it. It's much deeper and logical than that. What good does that do? Many people won't be Christians if that was all to support Christianity. Therefore the microbe in the microscope example still stands. If an unbeliever won't accept God for spiritual reasons ( i.e. the examples that Nick gave) or the reason of creation, then there are other logical reasons in which prove without a doubt that God exists, such as putting His word to the test. Most unbelievers I know have wondered why they exist, or why there is death and all these philosophical questions, but that does not guarantee you will believe in God because you have those questions. But when it comes to the real test such as putting God's word into practice, you will see God's promises being taken into affect for yourself. But most unbelievers skip the part of testing God's promises and blindly continue to tell themselves "why do we die" or "why am I here" even when they have the word right in front of them. How can someone reverence God unless they believe in Him? Again do you think this will be an excuse on judgement day: "God, I was searching for you an never found you." God is clear in His word that men are without excuse. Unbelievers should take a step of faith (scientists do this all the time before experiments are made) by obeying God's word and let God prove Himself to them.
I agree, but if through everyday experience and science someone still does not believe in God, that does not mean they are excused. They still have the option of testing His word. |
