Hi OneGod,
I haven't been posting here for a while, but this question has encouraged me to answer you.
Personally, though I have real problems with the way the Hijab seems to be abused apart from it's original intention, I have no problems at all with it being worn, as long as it's the woman's personal choice and a personal expression of her faith.
If a woman is forced into the veil by her husband or anyother person, then for me there are many problems which are not associated with wearing the veil itself.
I've heard it said, that the Hijab is a way of preventing of sexual sin, and in my opinion this responsibility should not only rest on her, but should be a joint responsibility. It also should not be the excuse her husband or anyone else uses to prevent her personal freedom to come and go or any other activity she wants to engage in.
For me, the hijab is an expression of a woman's personal faith, and most faiths have visible expressions of faith that are worn or used by their followers.
Until later
peace
Carol
