Hi Javaro, Alpha.
Alpha...your words are filled with wisdom that makes room for dialogue. I agree that many things can be agreed upon that are basic. I also agree with Javaro and others to the point that good science gives us answers to questions within reason. And we allow ourselves room to change our minds or to add to our minds as man discovers what God reveals.
Yet I'm concerned that men are discovering without a real purpose.
What is the story being told that science uncovers? What chapter of the story does the knowledge of the age of the universe cover? If there is a purpose of it being there then there is a reason. If there is a story who wrote it? And if God is the author what is it that He wants us to know? What is the larger issue may be what many have not seen or not heard.
God's word does need interpreting. But it is not of any private interpretation He says. Not everone is speaking for God. But inadvertantly we all try.
But what do I know...I'm not a scientist, chemist nor a physicists. Just a minister with his two cents to put into the discussion.
Twohumble is correct. When man is involved...when it is all man...we are not prone to wisdom.
