Christian/Muslim ThreadsWhy wont Muhammed come back at Judgement? Not only have I logically shown you how incoherent the assertion is, I'm now waiting for you to show me how it is possible. Well I won't let you brush away my thorny square-circle analogy so quickly, as irksome as it may be. To get the square to be a circle or the circle to be a square, you have to tell one or the other to "temporarily" cease to have some of its defining properties. But once you do that, it ceases to become what it was, by definition of its attributes. This sounds familiar. On the contrary, if I'm doing anything I'm showing you how the atheists' arguments are completely untenable. Atheists LOVE to use the "can God not be God or destroy Himself" question and I'm telling you that such questions are loaded and incoherent. You on the other hand are saying that the answer to those questions is "yes, He can do anything". I, however, say that "God can do anything possible but what you're asking isn't even realizable, it's a word combination" Good, I'm glad you realize this. I'd like to see a picture of what you're talking about. And no, the square-circle is completely relevant. It's the simplest example of two essences being combined into one. Here we go again. You are saying that God could suspend any of His attributes for some time i.e. cease to be what He was for a given time. This is just like saying can we have a "square-circle" for just 5 minutes, let's just forget that a square and circle cannot coexist simultaneously as one thing, and make them one thing for 5 minutes. "Rollseyes" is right, there's no such thing as a "square-circle" I wasn't expecting it could. I knew from the beginning that the only reason one would believe that God can be incarnated in a man is if they read it in Scripture and believed this Scripture to be the Truth. But logically, noone could ever come to such a conclusion. You've jumped two steps ahead of yourself, bro. Any man can voluntarily choose not to exercise his power, and hence Jesus (pbuh) could do that. However, you are also claiming that the Jesus (pbuh) who willingly submitted was God, so you first have to show how God could be manifested in a man, and to do that you'll have to scroll back up to the first few posts because it hasn't been done yet.
