Christ said "Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect." Christ also says, "He who sins is a slave to sin." Christ in the Old Testament is called the "Wonderful Counselor." A counselor will tell the people who he is counseling to do the best and strive for perfection eventhough the counselor knows you are not perfect. In the last seconds of a very close basketball game, the coach will tell his team to make sure they score the last bucket eventhough it is not guarnteed. No coach will say "since you are human you might as well blow the game." Therefore "Born again believers are capable of sinning but will make the best effort not to."
