It's NOT saying that God only does what he "needs" to do. God doesn't NEED to do anything. God does what He wills.

Now you never addressed the idea that God WANTED to do something unexpected and awesom such as to transcend to our world.
And if that was the Will of God, then so be it!
Who are we to ascribe limitations to what God does and doesn't do?
I did, and I said that it's incoherent for someone to claim that God could WANT to do something that makes Him lose ANY of his perfection or divine attributes. The Will of God is determined by God, not by an incomprehensible combination of words.
WE shouldn't ascribe limitations to what God does and doesn't do, precisely, only He can do that.
Where do you disagree with me:
God is free from need from anything he has created. Omnipotent power doesn't connect with anything that is in principle impossible.
"Could God commit suicide" the answer is that the question is meaningless. "Can" only connects with things that are in principle possible.
It's as meaningless as asking "Could God create a square circle?" "Could God create a four sided triangle".
"Could God create Himself in the womb of Mary?" The answer is no, because it's impossible that God could lose any of his perfections, God is perfect, if he were to lose any of His perfections, He would no longer be God, which is impossible since that contradicts God's eternality.
A person who says "Could God create a square circle?" does not know what he means, you ask him what he means and he doesn't really know what he means, it's just a jumble of words. Similarly "God become man" is a contradiction in terms, it would either be a God or a man, two essences can't be one and the same thing.
