The difference between Jesus and Mohammed is that Jesus lived a sinless life (John 5:19-24), (2 Cor. 5:21) because he came from "God The Father", whereas Mohammed frequently asked for forgiveness, because he was not perfect (Sura 40:55), (Sura 48:1-2). Jesus was a prophet, teacher (Rabbi) and the Son of God all in one.
Time and time and time again, Jesus claimed that he was from God. Some may argue that other prophets were also from God, which is completely true, BUT NONE of those prophets claimed that all authority from heaven was given to them, except for Jesus (John 5:22-24). People of the Muslim faith beleive that Moses and Jesus prophesized the coming of Mohammed. The truth is, Moses and the other prophets prophesized about Jesus' coming (Isiah 53: 7-10) and (Deut 18:18-19). In verse 18 of Deut., God told Moses that he was going to raise a prophet among their BRETHREN, who would speak the truth of God. Some in the Muslim faith claim it was Mohammed. MOHAMMED WAS NOT JEWISH, BUT JESUS WAS, hence brethren.
When talking about sending a comforter/helper (John 16:7-9), Jesus was speaking about the Holy Spirit, which later came (Acts 2). My question to those who don't beleive Jesus is that "Since Jesus was from God, he like the prophets before him had an idea of what they were prophesizing about, WHY then would he send the conforter/helper believed to be Mohammed in the Muslim faith, when he knew what Mohammed would bring to the table?", so to speak, because as we all know Mohammed's teachings contradicted Jesus' teachings. Read John 16:12-16. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO VERSES 14 AND 15.
Another interesting thing I heard from the Muslim faith was that when Jesus was going to be crucified, God switched the REAL JESUS and replaced him with an IMPOSTER JESUS because the REAL JESUS didn't want to go through with it (Luke 22:42).(I might of heard it wrong, but this is what I remember). Well if you read the entire verse, which is short, you'll realize that Jesus DID feel that way, BUT added that GOD'S WILL BE DONE, instead of his. My Question is "What then was the point of Jesus coming in the first place, if he didn't go through with what he said he came to do?" If the real Jesus was replaced with an imposter, that means that Jesus himself lied to the people about having to die and his resurrection and therefore sinned, which obviously isn't true, and finally if he was replaced with an imposter that means that the devil would have won because the real Jesus backed down, which also isn't true. If you are still unsure about Jesus' status and authority then read Matthew 17:4-6.
P.S. I'm NOT trying to bash the Muslim faith, because I respect all people. I'm simply quoting Biblical scripture. This topic is open to alot of debate or comments and I hope hear from anyone interested.
