Archivedsaved BY good works, or UNTO good works?Maybe Christ is saying that no one can get to heaven on their own, whether it be on their own righteuosness (Christ said our righteousness must exceed that of the Pharisees) or whether they be rich, etc. We all need a foreign righteousness, which is of Christ. That's why when the desiples after the eye of a needle comment asked Christ, "Who then can be saved?", our Saviour said, "With men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible." P.S.--There are going to be rich people in heaven. David for one was rich and so was Solomon, I would think they are in heaven. But this is just my opinion. If they are, it is only because of them looking toward the Messiah, and what the Messiah did on the cross and not because of their wealth and honor. |
