Here are some pictures taken today...
I hope to get some better ones to put up here next Sunday.
It is truly beautiful...
Just the other night I was DLing music for a friend at work. It happened that I came across some classical music by Mozart. I have never really appreciated this kind of music until recently. I have been seeking God more and more and he has been opening my eyes to many things that were once covered. Subtle things, small happenings that are overlooked by many people. The Lord told me through his word to “watch” so that is what I have been doing. Observing, it’s a simple thing that most people do not do. They just go on with there “lives” without looking around them. They are too focused on what is happening at that particular moment and only on that one thing.. seldom do people actually take the time to notice the things surrounding that “moment or thing.”
On my way home from visiting my friend Ed (different for the one at work) I put in the CD I made before going over there. It is a mix of classical music… Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Mozart, and Beethoven. I turned to song eight not knowing what it was. The time was around 4:45pm when I left.
Sitting in my car heading west on the highway to my house, the sun began to set with the most magnificent array of colors and brushed clouds. The music began to play and I just watched as God slowly set the sun down and the night sky rolled in. I don’t know how else to describe the feeling the combination of music and every other factor involved gave me.
I wrote this just to suggest to those of you whom have the tools to download music and make audio discs to try this out: Go out some day, wherever, it really doesn’t matter… the park maybe?? And wait around until the sun begins to set. Get in you car, put the CD in and begin to drive…. Just watch, listen and think. Even if you don’t believe just go out there and try it. I’m telling you, the feeling is wonderful! Jesus is Power!
…make sure you watch the other cars on the road too. I don’t want you coming back telling me you got into an accident because you were careless. I plan on getting a pic of the sunset next Sunday on my drive back home. I might even go out Monday to this place I like to sit and think and take some pictures around sunset.
If you have spent the time to read all of this... the song is: Bach - Pachebel - Canon for Three Violins & Cello
