Well, first off, I'm not Catholic. I am just Christian, period. I just got saved at the start of this year. My mother is Catholic. I'm curious as to what everyone is getting at with all the Catholic bashing. Is it not enough that a person is Christian, but they have to be just like you? Do you all think that if a person is a devout Catholic, they are consciously, or subconsciously worshiping satan? Do you all think if a person is a devout Catholic, they are going to hell? I'm just sick of this "My Faith is better than your Faith" attitude.
I know that your post wasn't directed towards me. This reply is for the Catholic bashers.
Now back to the topic of the thread. I think it's truly absurd to think this movie is in any way satanic. Why on Gods green earth would satan be responsible for a movie about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, then being resurrected?
So you're saying the devil was like, "Hmmm... How am I gonna get more people to follow me? I know! I'll make a movie about Jesus. Yeah, that's it! I'll show him teaching people to love one another. Even their enemies. Then I'll show him dying for their sins, being resurrected, and me (the devil) defeated. Boy, am I smart."
Mel took a portion of the Bible, and put it on film. Again, how is that satanic? God wants us to preach the Gospel. Mel is doing that, using the most popular medium today, which is the big screen.
There are reports of people seeing the light, and being saved, after watching this movie. People changing their ways for the better. I have yet to read of people turning to satanism, or hate after watching it.
