ArchivedThe Savior, First SinPeace Unite, You see, a common misconception in understanding Christianity is that we have a mediatory between man and God. Well in a way we do, but the Man Christ Jesus is also the God-man Christ Jesus. When I confess my sins, my attitudes and my total inability to live a life that measures upto his perfection, I am opening myself up in vulnerability as much as is possible. I am not admitting my inadequacy to man, but to God Himself. Yes, you may promise God you won't go back, but be honest, how often do you? How many times do you have to seek him for forgiveness? How often do you repeat sinning the same sin, even whilst you don't want to? You see, all Christianity is saying, that Islam doesn't say, is that no matter how you try, you won't stop sinning and God Almighty recognizes that. Christianity says that God loved man so much that even whilst man was in a state of sin, he didn't condemn him to hell, but he provided himself as the necessary and only way to escape hell. Unite, I know enough about Hajj to know that those who return feel clean and very close to Allah. I know that all that goes on on a hajj provides momentary peace to the one who goes on it. My question to you all was.. how long does that peace last? Is it till the next sin? Then what happens? The peace you feel, is replaced by the knowledge that an angel has recorded that sin against you. Yes you repent, but does it remove the shame of the sin? or the fact you have sinned against Almighty God? Christianity simply says, God knows you will never be able to live a life free from sin. Christianity says that your sin deserves to send you to hell. Christianity says that before you were born, before even the creation of mankind, God knew you would need something other than a list of right and wrong behaviour to enable you "be holy as I am Holy" according to his Old Testament command. My friend, what happens if you die when you have unconfessed sin in your life? Does that mean all the tawba for past sin is of no use? With Peace and blessings Carol |
