I heard the debate between the two , and it did not surprise me to say the least.
It seems that the crowd favored Deedat over Swaggart, not typical to say the least.
It is written: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14
Even in the days before Jesus was crucified, His message was foolish to the natural man and is even to this very day when the plan and simple logic of man without spiritual understanding attempts to decipher the teachings of the Spirit, and which is to be understood by the spirit.
Jesus said,"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day."
The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? John 6:52
It is also written:. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things.
John 3:12
Those who are born of the spirit understandeth the nature of the spirit, deedat is not born of the spirit and will never come to the understanding of the Divine nature of Christ as God.
Even as i speak, many wthout the the spirit guiding them into all truth will continue to fail to understand this.
God Bless!
