Christian/Muslim ThreadsCaner Brothers Video DiscussionPeace OneGOD, Yes OneGod. Those who have converted to Islam that claim they were once Christian, but they show such a misunderstanding about Christianity. Really, leaving a religion that wasn't understood in the first place is really pathetic. People should understand and study their religion before making any major descisions. That is all very true. That resembles Christianity, but understand what the Quran teaches. [23.102] Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful. [23.103] And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell You'll be judged whether or not you enter heaven based on how much good deeds you've done. Suppose a righteous man does many good things, but commits iniquity before he dies. That means he woudl be damned because He did evil when he died. Likewise a sinner whose "good deeds are light" does a major good deed before he dies, Jesus told the man next to Him on the cross that He would be in Paradise because He believed! No, this is not true. Jesus said "Only God is good" But Jesus was God and He was good! Everything He did in His life was so perfect, only He is good! All other men are sinful and imperfect.
But you can't earn your salvation, and to say so is just arrogant. You can't tear that wall of Original Sin down, but you call it something else. Only God can tear that barrier down and make us right with Him. Salvation is based on faith because like you said earlier, and man who believes ins God will do good things anyways. Paul said that works without faith is useless...or something like that. Christianity is not a lazy doctrine, it's hard...maybe harder than Islam. Can you easily love your enemies and show mercy on sinners? Would you be like Jesus and show love and compassion to prostitutes? Islam let's you off easy on this, which I don't like. God could not care howmany times you pray a day or how long you fast, Islam is riddled with the same legalism that Jesus hated and who sought to clean Judaism of it's legalistic doctrines. Islam regresses from Christianity in this sense, and that I dislike about it. We believe salvation is a gift, but maintaining this gift is the challenge. Works are necessary, but someone with faith does works automatically. The saved person recieved rewards in heaven based on how many good deeds he does, but that is not the determining factor for one to acheive salvation. OneGOd, in Islam, what happens to a believer of another religion who dies and has done more good deeds than bad deeds? Is he saved according to Islam? |
