It was a reaction on something webmaster said, which unfortunatly doesn't show in the topic review so I can't quote it here at the moment.
I didn't mean to say that if you have faith in what you believe it is evidence for that. My choice of words there was rather stupid.
What I was trying to say there was that the evidence webmaster wants to use as evidence, is only evidence because he believes it is.
You ask what is wrong with the Christian interpretation of evidence.
The answer is pretty complicated. It differs from case to case.
Some Christians use the Second Law of Thermodynamics to show that all things are degrading.
This is a wrong interpretation because only things in a closed system degrade, while they use it for everything, even for things in an open system.
Some of those Christians even find "evidence" for the degrading of things. They claim humans were significantly taller several thousand years ago, when every grave you open shows that they were smaller....
