ArchivedTrinitarians Are PagansWhat quote buddy? Are you following the discussion? You have written an interpretation of a man. IS that from Quran? The meaning of Quran? Do you know that muslims accept that book as a literal interpretation of Quran? No you don't and no they don't accept that book. Quoting Y. Ali as an ultimate source of all that there is Islamic isn't a valid position. At least not within Islamic scholarship. Is Yusuf Ali's view the standard acceptable view of the majority of Muslim scholars with regard to the subject matter? If not then whose view is the standard view of the majority of Muslim scholars with regard to this subject matter? If Yusuf Ali's view is not the standard view of the majority of Muslims then why do some muslims like you endorse his views? Some muslim sects say that Quran has to be taken literally without any interpretation because man is not perfect. So then your only option is to find to way another verse in Quran that explains this metaphor (actually a conjecture) ... Noone knows about that, but I am not going to trust a dodging person who claims to have been worshipped satan. Sorry. Why is "God resting" not a metaphor? This is not a metaphor because there is no explanation to it in Quran, it is a conjecture. Do you honestly believe that one needs to travel to outer space to explore it? Kiddo, you have much to learn, please don't waste your beautiful years with some arabic mythological fabrication. When you cut open someone, you can examine and study anything you want! And Egyptians knew about this stuff. Sura 86:6 is interesting since it claims that during the act of sexual intercourse before which a man is created, the "gushing fluid" or semen issues from between the loins and ribs. Semen is apparently coming out of the area around the kidneys and back, which is a real problem for we know that the testicles are the sites of sperm production (although the ancient Greeks were not so convinced. Aristotle for example amusingly believed that they functioned as weights to keep the seminal passages open during sexual intercourse. There is no embryological science presented in the Quran, which was not know at the time of 6th or 7th century period. In fact, most of the embryological science described in Quran was known to this world well before the time of Quranic compilation. Quranic description very well fits the embryological descriptions of Hippocrates, Aristotle and Galenic (from 5th century B.C. to 4th century A.D.) period. It is irrelevant to ask how Muhammad could have known or found this knowledge. But it is important to note that this much of embryological knowledge was available/prevailing at that time of the world. Most importantly, embryological knowledge presented in the Quran, and ancient Greeks (Hippocrates, Aristotle) and Galenic period was scientifically incorrect compared to the modern scientific knowledge. Quite obviously, had there been this knowledge of embryology came from divine source, there could be no error fond in them today or even after millions of years. There is my point but you are busy with terminology instead of focusing that there is nothing new in Quran. Garbha Upanishada in Sanskrit, supposed to have beeen written in 1416 B.C, correct in sequence of appearance of structure, incorrect in dates. Hippocrates, considered the Father of Medicine made important contributions to Embryology in fifth century B.C. Aristotle, considered the Father of Embryology wrote a treatise on Embryology in fourth century B.C. His treatise contains the same erroneous idea that the embryo developed from a formless mass as that in Garbha Upanishad. Galen wrote a book entitled "On the Formation of the Foetus" in first century A.D. I am only not very knowledgeable about the atoms issue but I am sure there must be a "metaphorical" explanation to that. It was being discussed on these forums too. Other than that, I know the others don't hold nay water, I have already presented the evidence about human embryology. Be quick to do so... How do you know you haven't sold your soul to Satan? What is your criteria? Yes I know him and his ways, because I was told in the Bible. Thinking Satan is a stupid arrogant Jinn void of scientific knowledge is just what the devil wants you to view him as so he can mislead you. Nonsense! I don't believe you because you are no authority on the Bible and of course on Satan. You just talk. And conveniently avoid the explanations given to you. Where is your proof how satan works? Explain us how Satan works, if you know that is. |
