What I was trying to say:
Let's take the hypothetic case that you are on a crossing of 10 roads. There is a sign at each road saying that it leads to Rome.
Everyone now thinks: All those 10 roads lead to Rome? That is not very likely. And even if they do, I can only travel at one road at the same time.
If you are a Christian you choose one road and you are convinced that this road leads to Rome, and all the others don't
If you are a scientist you pick one of the roads, the one that suits you best. But you keep in mind that the road might not lead to Rome, and that maybe one or more of the others lead to Rome. And even that you might not have to take a road to get to Rome.
As a scientist you cannot deny the existence of God.
You can't confirm he exist either though.
