Hi,
Thanks for the reply. When i told my church about this, at first they thought i was picking faults from the movie and being too judgmental, until i provided the evidence against the movie, they never said a word to me.
Thanks for raising some good points. I dont like to be judgmental. Firstly, hollywood doesn't make good films, im going to come out with this straight out that hollywood is Satanic. Let me just tell you where they got their name from...
In witchcraft witches use wands (not made from plastic) that are made from a particular wood called Holly.
See a connection, Holly wood used by witches, and here we have the movie industries name 'Hollywood'? it never surprises me.
Anyway ... If hollywood makes satanic movies, why should this movie be different? The first time i heard about this movie it didn't feel right. And i knew from the beginning that the Church would flock to see this movie without knowing anything about it.
First off, about the porn star in this movie ... I personally dont think that Gibson was unaware of this fact, i dont think they would ever allow such a thing to happen lest they be in their right mind. And also, why has nobody in the media picked up any of this and mentioned it that the character playing Mary Magdelene is a porn-star?
Your right that the Biblical Mary magdalene was a prostitute etc etc, but in my opinion that shouldn't be an excuse for Gibson to use a real-life porn star in a movie. Come on sister, think about it.
Also, why the need to make a film that shows Jews were responsible for the Death of Jesus and make it very very violent? Fair enough some will say, Gibson did this to show the world how much Jesus loved us and that he died for our sins blah blah blah ... BUT ... why show so much anti-semetism and show Jews killed Jesus?
This isn't on in my books, Isaiah 53 makes it clear that Jesus died because of ALL of us, not just the Jews.
Another thing that really worries me is that unaware christians beleive the press when the press say its not anti-semetic, well ... if the movie was anti-sematic linda do you think the press would tell the world on tv "The movie is against the jews etc"?
I doubt it.
The central theme of this movie is the torture and crucifixion, with about one minute at the end, on a view of a burial cloth deflating and then reveals "Christ" exiting the tomb, with a shot that implies he is fully naked. He appears for approximately 12-15 seconds total. Those minute seconds depicting the "resurrection" out of the total running time of 125 minutes. The credits observed more time.
The central theme of the four Gospels is salvation through Jesus Christ and how to live a life of love. Is God glorified or is man's attempt to reconstruct His bloody death glorified?
Right from the start, the dialogue of this Jesus is contrary to anything found in Scripture. We are first shown a glimpse of a fearful Jesus praying "Hear me Father...rise up and defend me...save me from the traps they have set". The movie also portrays Jesus being tempted by satan in the Garden, as "she" asks him, "Who is your Father?" and "Who are You?" Then a snake comes out of "her" robe and slithers over to Christ, and he stomps on it's head.
Satan is presented as a woman, yet in Scripture, always referred to as 'he'. How can the FATHER of lies be a woman? [John 8:44, 16:11] The demons that chase Judas are represented as little boys in the movie.
The movie portrays Jesus being tempted by satan in the Garden, but, the Bible says He was ministered to by an angel [Luke 22:43] and strengthened, and that information is not even entertained in this movie. The word in the verse is "strengthening", which actually means in the Greek, "to invigorate (transitively or reflexively)...strengthen."
A clear deviation of the Scriptures is also in the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus is depicted as being terrified or afraid. The apostles say to each other "What is wrong with Him'? "He seems afraid"?
Now the Ressurection of Jesus is Just as important linda as the Crucifixion, so why not show more on this? Hmmm? Something to think about.
read the following in careful detail...
One has to wonder if the producers of “The Passion” aren’t the real Christ-haters, who derived vicarious pleasure from reenacting the Crucifixion with meticulous attention to the details of Jesus’ torture. Wonder no more. When Diane Sawyer asked Mel Gibson rhetorically, “It’s your hand in the film holding the nail?”, he responded: “It is, yeah. My left hand. In Italian, ‘sinistra’ or sinister hand.” ABC was showing footage from the film in which Gibson’s left hand held the nail which pierced the hand of Christ, as a hammer pounded it into the cross. Although Gibson put a Biblical gloss on his reasons for doing this, he gave his true intentions away through an esoteric allusion.
In the occult underground, there is a Satanist warrior order called the Ordo Sinistra Vivendi or “Order of the Left Hand Path,” which practices ‘Black Magick’ and promotes rebellion against Christ and His Church. Its name represents brazen defiance of Matthew 25:41 “Then shall (Jesus) say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.” To these Satanists, “Left Hand Path” means “Anima/Yin, feminine principle of the universe, intuitive, receptive, dark” and, according to the OSV, “The sinister Way recognises the need to restore balance through opposition (heresy); to create through destruction... The best-known archetype of opposition to stasis is Satan...”
“The Passion of the Christ” is a thoroughly Satanic production, and occultists worldwide know exactly what Mel Gibson meant by “‘sinistra’ or sinister hand” as well as many other esoteric signs attending, not only this film, but the entire genre of occult films that are inundating movie theaters. Satanists, who despise Jesus Christ, and their Dark Lord, who has fond memories of the Crucifixion, will no doubt love “The Passion of the Christ”. Everyone else, including Christians, should stay at home with their children and look into the Word of God. There you will find Jesus.
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
I John 1:3-4
Personally, i would never pay a penny to see this movie. Im going to be getting in touch with some ex-satanists and ask for more information on hidden occult symbolism in this movie and get back to you. I never felt right about this movie in the first place.
I know lots of you guys probably wont agree with me here, But we have the Bible and Gods Word to use as a tool to unbeleivers, not Hollywood movies.
Sorry if i've offended anybody, but i needed to come out with the truth.
