Paul
Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples. He went to the high priest 2and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. 3As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"
5"Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked.
6"I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied. "Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do."
And what did Paul do? Taught the other Jewish apostles that Gentiles also would take part in the grace of Christ. Established churches thruout the Roman empire. Taught these churches how to be strong and faithful, guided and taught by the Holy Spirit.
"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. " (John 14:12)
"But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." (John 14:26)
Guided and taught by the Holy Spirit, Paul becomes a great minister of Christ. He does miracles just like Christ did. The other apostles accepted him. Paul was later jailed and martyred. Paul's life is evidence itself of God's grace and power and anointing him an apostle.
