It's just a date exactly as Jewish and Athenians day begins at sun set, and Roman day begins at midnight, and a solar day measured by the interval between meridian passages of the sun, varies in length because of the variation in speed of the earth in its orbit, and Babylonian day begins with sunrise, and Julian day still starts at noon.
