Aha, now I got you! You haven't been paying attention!
I answered Aineo in the Evolution thread that there actually is a force binding all the atoms together, and that force would be the Gravitational Force. You can look it up in the other thread, included a very neat example with formula and numbers! (Only today for 5,99!!)
And in the Evolution 2 thread I stated that some people seem to forget that Second Law describes what something tends to do. (Keyword is tends in that sentence) There can be forces that delay the reaction or even reverse it. You can look that up as well. I read the same site as you on the topic btw maybe I place the accents on other places...
So to conclude: The second law of thermodynamics doesn't give anything about forming stars since it doesn't say anything about the forces aplied in the different cases.
