Zombie: There are no prophecies of Mohammed in the Bible, nevertheless i will refute this one ...
=============== Holy Spirit or Mohammed ================
1. Holy Spirit in Greek is translated as Paracletos ... NOT Paracletos, for a start ... Muslims/Islamic Scholars need to get their Greek right, the Holy Spirit is Paracletos In Greek which means "Comforter" ... For One ... Mohammed was NOT a Comforter. Holy Spirit is often called Paraclete. Not Paraclyte, for one ... people need to get their Greek right.
2. Holy SPIRIT is a SPIRIT ... None Human. Mohammed was Human, merely human, not a spirit, neither did he perform any Miracles. the Properties of the Holy Spirit are to demonstrate the Power of God to bring people to Jesus, this is demonstrated by Miracles of healing for example, Mohammed did NOT do any healings or Deliver people from Demons.
3. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit would come after a matter of DAYS ... Mohammed came after how many years? Roughly 600 years and was born in 570 A.D., checkup your history books. There is a major difference between days and years, especially 600 years. Talk about a major error.
4. Job of the Holy Spirit is to bring people to Jesus, Mohammed only degraded Jesus, he did NOT Glorify him.
5. In all the 5,366 manuscripts of the New Testament there is no pariclytos (praised one) so there is no textual evidence for this.
6. Sura 16:102 and Sura 26:192-194 says Mohammed’s call was issued by the Holy Spirit who appeared to Mohammed ... Lets re-write that shall we ... "Mohammed's call was issued by the Mohammed who appeared to Mohammed" ... Sounds ridiculous doesn't it? Yeh i know.
7. The Holy Spirit is GOD ... So to say Mohammed is the Holy Spirit would be saying that Mohammed is God, which would be ... Terribly wrong.
8. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit listed in the book of Galations are kindness, gentleness etc etc. If you'd honestly read Mohammed's history, he didn't have any of these qualities. Talk about not even doing miracles for the people and supposedly being the greatest prophet, not to mention he was illerate.
9. Islam takes Mk.1:7 and explains that Jesus prophesied of Mohammed as “there comes One after me who is mightier than I.” These words are by John the baptizer not Jesus. This points to Jesus as he was identified by John and began to preach the gospel afterwards. John even identifies him as this when he cried out in John 1:15 “This is he of whom I said “He who comes after me is preferred before me”
10. The Bible- Jesus said in John 14:26 “ But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
Notice the comforter is the Holy Spirit, what's more is the very purpose of this helper is to bear witness to the truth who is Jesus. John 14:17 “ Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”
Zombie: Mohammed is Dead, he is eternal nor a spirit, to say he dwells in people and does miracles is ridiculous.
11. The purpose of the helper, the comforter from the Bible was to conform someone to the image of Christ as he lives in the believer. Not to gather armies or take over what is perceived as paganism and idolatry by force
12. In Sura 33:40 Mohammed says of himself that he is the apostle of God, the seal of the prophets. This means that he supersedes Jesus and Jesus is an inferior prophet. He also is speaking on his own authority which is something that Jesus said his helper will not do. (Jesus also said that John the Baptist is the greatest prophet ever among men.).
13. Another Biblical event that makes this even more illogical is that the paraclete, who is the Holy Spirit, was brooding over the waters in Gen. 1 and taking part in creation. It is obvious that this cannot be Mohammed. Mohammed did NOT move upon the face of the waters in the Beginning, so to say that would be a) Ridiculously stupid, and b) Would mean that Mohammed pre-existed, aka is Eternal and therefore a Spirit, that is FALSE.
==================== Conclusion ====================
Claim Debunked. Mohammed was never prophecied in the Bible. I dont need websites from Muslims like missionislam to teach me, i have the Bible and wisdom God has given me to refute blasphemous statements such as Mohammed being the Holy Spirit.
Thank you for your questions. I hope you take my answers and refutations into consideration with a neutral and intelligent mind and remember that Mohammed was never prophecied in the Bible.
Kind Regards,
