Hello Kelly.
I believe the title "Why do you hate God for" came from a conversation we had with a person in a chat room before the forum was started. A person had been having some problems and admitted that he hated God, and webmaster asked him why. (you had to be there to get the wording)
If you do NOT hate God then it doesn't apply to you and shouldn't be found offensive, but let's look at what it means to hate God.
First, there's the obvious "I hate God".
Then, the scriptures teach us "whatsoever you have done to the least of my brethren you have done to me." (paraphrased)
What have you done for/to the least of your brethren? Have you shown hatred? Have you walked by when needed help? Have you not shown them love? If you haven't shown them love, what have you done? You've done the opposite. If you sin, is this love? What isn't love? Anything that is sin is despising the cross and is the opposite of love. Not following the scripture or denying true principles that are shown from it is not love, it's hatred, because when you deny it you teach the opposite, and what's the opposite of truth? Certainly not love. It's untruth. And if you teach other people untruths, is that love? No, you are helping to keep them away from God, and that's hatred.
Do you understand what I'm trying to say? I'm not always the best with words.
