Muslim..Out ReachUsing Culture and issues to bring people to ChristTo all my precious brothers out there who love the Lord as I do, May I say, by taking them from their religious understandings, that are vain and blinded, to a realisation of the truth and knowledge of the unknown God they worship. Please take a look at the five threads I posted on the weekend and watch how and where the conversation is going. You see, if you look carefully, I started a number of threads on doctrine.. not on differences and debates about the side issues. Now, if you look, I am now pulling the different threads together and they are getting the picture. (believe me, I'm talking to some of them off forum). Paul said, He would become all things to all men in order to win some. You guys believe the way to share your faith is to confront with truth and for some that is how they need to hear it. For others, that some confrontation just alienates them and sends them away, confirming what they believe about biggoted Christians. God has you here, to meet those who need the confrontational approach, He has me and others who like to share their faith by first forming relationships here, to meet the needs of those who still need to hear truth, but can't cope with it direct. I still believe that as Christians, no matter how we share our faith, we need to be thoughtful, that these are BLINDED fellow human beings, and not "thick heads" as our Muslim friends have been called in one reply. Dear brothers, no matter what approach we use on this forum we are all wanting to see the end result, a turning to the Lord of those who come to these forums. However, in the end, it is not going to be you or me who convert them.. but the Holy Spirit. We can only be faithful in the way he wants us to share .. He has brought us here to faithfully preach the word, in season and out of season, not to question others tactics.. though please, also obey the command to "speak the truth in love" and "love your neighbour as yourself." Alpha, that verse is not a rebuke.. it's a description of reality.. "you are too superstitious." He doesn't say "woe unto you for you are all too superstitious he says instead "FOR" as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription.. To the Unknown God." He was telling them, that their superstitious zealousness had caused them to miss out getting to know the unknown God, one of the many gods they were worshipping. He took them from their superstitious zealousness, from within their own religion, to a knowledge, a saving knowledge of the Unknown God "whom therefore ye ignorantly worship..HIM I declare unto you." You see, they will never understand or believe that the prophets were sinners, until their knowledge of God changes.. they are blinded by the god of this world to the reality of who God is. let us be faithful in doing as Paul did and lead them to KNOW the UNKNOWN God, they sincerely ( I believe) are thirsting to know.[/b] May God bless us all as we share our faith Hugs in Christ to you all Carol |
