First a reply to the beginning of this post.
When I was not a christian, but kinda doubting about if God existed or not, I lied awake in my bed one night, and for the first time really prayed to God to give me a sign if he existed. It was the first time in my life I really ment a prayer with my heart.
Well, I got to see this big face sticking out of my ceiling, which I believe was an angel.
This was the first thing that made me actually think about Christianity as something else as just some stupid religion. Since then I've taken more steps and finally gave in to God(to powerfull and loving to resist you know)
Religions are invented by men to explain things they can't comprehend. That is why pagan, non christian faiths, often(not always) have more gods for the different atributes of life.
But I've heard many testimonies of people who have converted from these faiths, that since they know God, it truly gives an satisfying answer to all the things in life.
Do you know what the answer of God to you is? "Don't worry, I'm here and I'll take care. Just trust and believe me"
All God asks is for faith and trust in him. In return he will give you so much more.
Just like a father raising his child. The child can always(assuming a normal family of course... if there is such a thing) trust on his father to take care of all the dangers in his world. He can always tell his father what is going on in his life, he just knows that his father is there if he needs him.
The same is with us and with God. He will always be there for us, all of us.
Christianity is so simple, so basic, that people refuse to accept it, becouse it's so simple.
If you outline basic normal social behaviour patterns, you'll see that they'll largely come over as christian.
A few examples:
1. Lying is something you should not do
2. Don't steal things
3. Don't beat up people
4. Don't kill people
5. Don't sleep with your best friends wife/girlfriend
6. etc...
Most of public moral will agree with christianity, and I can't understand why people have trouble accepting christianity. The only thing it really changes is that you have a God in your life, because normal people live by the christian rules anyways(at least, I hope so)
Anyways, GBY to you all
