ArchivedWas Jesus a real personIt is not only about the teachings. What about the prophecies? And if you won't accept that, then what about the PROMISES God makes if you follow His word? Those promises DO come true if you follow God's word. Islam, and other religions might contain morality in them, but you have to think about the other aspects. Not only morality. Also, if the Holy Bible was written by mere wise men to scare people into believing there was a God and to only make them good people, then why would they bother to say in the future men would not care for the word of God? Why would they bother to prophecy? It would be an exercise in futility on their part. But as it actually turns out, prophecies are one of the strong points of the Holy Bible. "With so many religions in the world, how can you say that Christianity is the only way? Isn’t Buddha as good as Christ?" Well, take a look at this:http://pentecostalevangel.ag.org/pentecostal-evangel/articles/Life_QA/Religions.cfm. Do not compare Christianity to other religions. Christianity, not only has the most followers that any religion (beats the #2 religion by atleast a billion followers), but it is a religion that can be based on archaeological evidence. And if you won't accept that, then we can just go back to the basics of testing the Holy Bible. And since this is a debate between a Christian and a pagan and not a Christian and a person belonging to a specific religion, then I feel the best argument to give you is: Test the Bible and its promises. If you were belonging to a different religion other than Christianity, then I would use other means to disprove you in our debate. Again, if one can prove the Bible is the true word of God, then one can prove Jesus Christ existed. |
