ArchivedThe Quran borrows many things from many sources.Peace OneGOD, God spoke through the prophets and scribes by the Spirit. Ezekiel 11:5 Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon me, and he told me to say: "This is what the LORD says: That is what you are saying, O house of Israel, but I know what is going through your mind. Inspired word if God, but it seems you don't understand that concept. Paul wrote letters to different early Christian communities addressing their specific spiritual needs and problems. Paul may have admitted that this is his words, doesn't mean that they weren't inspired words of God. His letters were written to aid and assist the early Christians, nothing here is ungodly. You still believe the teachings of Muhammed are inspired by Allah, right? How sure are you the Zoroastrian creed is corrupted rather than naturally being different? You assume way too much. Zoroaster's teachings in the Gathas have been translated directly from ancient Avestan--an ancient language very close to Sanskrit. With little doubt these ancient Aryan writings were from Zoroaster. I'd recommend you read about what Zoroastrians believe. It's a religion very different from ours. http://www.zarathushtra.com/z/article/dgm/index.htm History says he was. Again, their concept of God, Satan, and the angels differ tremendously from our religions. Zoroastraisn don't believe that Mazda created Ahriman(Satan), but the two spirits always existed. Zoroastrians are very dualistic. Such dualism isn't found in Judaism. Among other things, it's obvious that Zoroastrian beliefs weren't borrowed by Jews. The Jews may have been influenced by Zoroastrianism--but this is a very different concept that never implies Zoroastrianism was a true religion. There's only a few non-Jewish monotheists: Zoroaster and Atonhotep. Atonhotep was an Egyptian king that went against polytheism and declared that there was only one god, the sun god. Zoroaster did similar. The ancient polytheistic Aryan religion already had Ahura Mazda along with many gods like Tishtar the sky god and Sarosh the messenger god. Now Zoroaster never said their weren't other gods besides Mazda--he just declared Mazda as the supreme god only worthy of worship. Now he renamed the other "gods" as "yazatas" or spiritual beings. Tishtar became the guardian of the heavens, and Sarosh bdcame the messenger angel. It's like in Muhammed didn't totally ban Uzza and Lat, but made them "helper gods" or yazatas of Allah. Unless you have a deep understanding of other religions, you can't just declare them as corrupt. First of all, Muhammed worked with his wife, Khadijah, who was involved in the caravan trade. With no doubt he traveled with his wife and met many people. Even in Mecca there were many pagans, Sabeans, Magians, Jews, Christians, and hereticals. Muhammed had a rich variety of religious traditions in his own city! Because they were written centuries after Christ, they're very unreliable. I'd believe every word from the Gospels before believing one word from apocryphal texts. No, I was talking about Jesus's childhood as described in the Quran. It's identical to the Infancy Gospels. The Quran borrowed these myths. The Infancy Gospels were written 130 years after Jesus's childhood! |
