ArchivedAhura Mazda has 101 names: The Quran vs. the AvestaPeace OneGOD and Alexei, Quote me a verse from the Avesta in which Zoroaster teaches about the ressurection of the dead. You'll find it in later Pahlavi writings of the Sassanid period. They're not very reliable, however. http://www.spotlights.org/Cx-2.htm http://www.billpetro.com/HolidayHistory ... endix.html http://answering-islam.org.uk/Silas/crucified.htm http://www.tektonics.org/tekton_01_01_01_TC.html 8) God had a very divine plan since the beggining. He chose the Israelites to be His chosen people and He gave them the Torah. The Zoroastrians didn't follow the Torah, didn't follow Yaweh's laws. Through Jesus Christ He brought salvation to the world; Jews and Gentiles stand together in the New Covenant of God established by Jesus Christ. All religions are different, they're not the work of one God. The Zoroastrian faith has it;s own set of myths and beliefs. They are very dualistic and they believe in the seven Amesha Spentas, or seven holy archangels of Mazda. They don't believe in Gabriel or Michael. Among many things, their creation story differs alot from our tradition. That is what you think. Zoroastrianism borrows alot of beliefs from ancient Hinduism, the religions of the Aryans. Zoroaster reformed his polythiestic Aryan religion and made polytheism into monotheism; he made the good Aryan gods into evil demons. His faith differs to much with Judaism to have been from the same God. No other two people throughout the ancient world were monotheistic, so I don't see any "prophets" being sent to the rest of the world. I can't say you're right or wrong, honestly. But certainly Zoroaster was a major preacher of monotheism, but he's never once mentioned in the Quran. Why didn't Allah even mention him? He wasn't some little known wiseman, but a famous monotheist, I think. Actually, Zoroaster never denied the existence of other gods, he just declared that Mazda was the great god that should be worshipped. Only to you it is. I can't give you a verse that doesn't exist. I ask you for the PROVES PLEASE. Where did Zoroaster say what he said according to the Islamic scholars? What's the #1 difference between an Islamic scholar and a defense attorney? Islamic scholars wear a turban! They're both proficient and persuasive LIARS. Yes, and Jesus is this Savior and Redeemer of the world. Through Him God has made His covenant with all people. Not through a medly of motley world prophets, but one God-Man--Jesus Christ the Son of the Father, the Savior and Uniter of mankind. Not God was and will be Lord of the worlds' religions. His anwer was very insufficent, as is yours. Let me restate it: Zoroaster was a major preacher of monotheism and his faith was vast and widespread through out the ancient East--yet nothing of him is mentioned in the Quran. How do we know the Avesta was not corrupted? The Quran is silent about that. Certainly it was read more than the Tanakh in the ancient world. This is really messed up. |
