...to practicing abstinence? I mean, I understand that people are tempted to go all the way with someone before they're married. People are tempted to do things all the time. But what's wrong with waiting until you're married? What's so difficult about avoiding giving into that temptation? Then, at least, you wouldn't willfully put yourself in a situation where you believe that abortion is the only way out.
Now, regarding women who've been raped: I sympathize with them. Rape is a horrible, degrading thing to go through, and I pray I'll never have to go through it. People have argued that if a rape victim continues her pregnancy, she'll be constantly reminded of what happened to her. That is a pathetic argument, because the woman would be reminded of the attack, even if she wasn't impregnated by her attacker.
Rape and carelessness are not valid reasons to support the malicious murder of an innocent child. Remember: the child is incapable of choosing who its parents are. And just because the unborn child does not have a voice, does not mean that it is not a human being. I believe that all things happen for a reason. No, God did not intend for you to have sex before you're married, and He definitely did not intend for you to be raped. However, do you honestly believe that He would support the murder of something that He helped create. Remember: we are all descendants of Adam and Eve, who were created by God Himself. And by murdering your unborn child, you are - in essence - murdering a part of God.
