Hey oneGod,
As expected, we are arguing about semantics. We all know that a lot of things in Qu'ran would confirm the divinty of Christ and everything that happened, if the meaning of the words had not been altered to suit a certain purpose. We both know that the meaning of the word I mentionned is "put to death". Anyways, that fact along with the other verses that I have mentionned , however do make a very strong case for issues in the Qu'ran. You have not commented on them. Namely, the following:
Quote from the Quran attributed to the infant Jesus [19]: "Peace be upon me, the day I was born, the day I willl die and the day I am risen back alive" ( the chronolgy here certainly implie that he was born, died and rose back to life)
it is also written in the Qu'ran, and I quote [7]:"Therein (on earth) shall you live, therein shall you die, and there from shall you be raised "
As far as the comparison:
Not constructive as you would have thought it would be. I hope you can make a difference between a story told and a direct command (Hadith). I quote from the Hadith:
"The hour will not be established until you fight the jew, and teh stome behind which a jew will be hiding will say:'O Muslim! There is a jew hiding behind me, so kill him." It is also written:"When judgement day arrives, Allah will give every Muslim, a Jew or a Christianto killso that the Muslimk will not enter into teh fire of hell".
How do those two compare? This to me seems like a direct command to every Muslim, dont you think?
Muhammed was instructed to consult the people of the book, for the veracity of the revelations, you are right about that. Did he do so? I believe not. Or do you consider Waraqa a jewish or Christian authority?
You are my brother. I am just sadden by the fact that you do study religion, and still chose to be a muslim.
