So what you are saying is once we accept Christ as Savior we become robots incapable of making a wrong decision because the Holy Spirit removes our ability to say no to God? By your theology why was Christ's crucifixion necessary if God can make us righteous upon salvation?
Were Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, King David, etc. saved and if so how?
Exactly. Works of the law are not required for salvation; works of faith are.
Eph 2:4-10
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, that no one should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. NAS
4 But God (who is rich in mercy) for his exceeding charity wherewith he loved us
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together in Christ (by whose grace you are saved)
6 And hath raised us up together and hath made us sit together in the heavenly places, through Christ Jesus.
7 That he might shew in the ages to come the abundant riches of his grace, in his bounty towards us in Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace you are saved through faith: and that not of yourselves, for it is the gift of God.
9 Not of works, that no man may glory.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus in good works, which God hath prepared that we should walk in them.
DRV
Salvation is a gift; good works follows salvation and are not a prerequiste for salvation. We are created in Christ Jesus in good works cannot precede salvation because we are created in Christ Jesus at salvation. Good works are the outflowing of our faith in Christ after not before we are sealed with the Holy Spirit.
