ArchivedJudging & Testing God??O.K. fine. If you want to worship the Father, then worship the Father. But Jesus said, "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." (John 14:13). You do not know the Father unless you accept the sacrifice of His Son Jesus. When you pray, Jesus interceeds for us. Jesus is that mediator. Even the God of the OT served His people. God served Isreal by blessing them. Besides, the Father sent Jesus as an example of who we should follow. If Jesus was arrogant, that would not be a good examle. And even if Jesus did not asked to be worshipped, he was worshipped anyway. Did he tell the people that worshipped him to back off?.......No. Jesus and the Father are two distinct witnesses. They are not the same. If Jesus says the Father is greater than him, then so be it. But The Father sacrificed Jesus for our sins. And we do not know the Father unless we know the Son.
Jesus is the Son of God. Yes the Father is our God, but you do not know the Father unless you know the Son. Jesus represents the Father's invisible image. |
