ArchivedCONTRADICTIONS IN THE QURANWhere is the long suffering of a Muslim? Doesn't your God teach you to have patience? And when I make posts and you don't respond to them quickly, do I "hassle" you about it? Just as how you are busy with school, so am I. Before I respond to this, I would also like to say that another quality of God does not involve editing or letting His INITIAL ESTABLISHED Word be corrupted. God prophecies, like the prohecy of angels being cursed for spreading false doctrines, i.e. The "Angel Gabriel" and Mohammed. O.K. Now that I got that off my chest, let me get back to work. That verse DOES NOT say Jesus will do anything you ask or pray for. Now I want you to use common sense; is that a "quality" of God?(giving you anything you want) First of all, Jesus is clearly making Himself the mediator between God and man. He is saying whatever you ask the Father, ask in His name. Secondly, the thing that you ask for has to be in accordance to the will of God. The Bible clearly shows this when Jesus prayed to the Father to "let this cup be removed", but at the end of His prayer Jesus said "thy will be done" (Matthew 26:42) and it was not God's will for it to be removed. And Jesus taught His desciple to pray "thy will be done" (Matthew 6:10, Luke 11:2) when praying to God WAYYYYYYYY before He made the supposedly "I will do whatever you ask" statement. It has to be God's will when I pray, not mine. What are we arguing from? A Biblical standpoint! Despite the fact you like to claim I change subjects, you have not realized that you post these biblical "contradictions" in a topic which is meant to discuss the Qu'ran. Who is changing the subject now? And if I may "repeat myself", I do not accept the Qu'ran to be the Word of God. And in an earlier thread you claimed that this was "fair enough" when making my arguments.
Well, I can't argue with that seeing as how a Muslim and a Buddhist has the same destiny. Don't come to conlcusions, I never said it was everlasting punishment. I am not putting my own words in the Bible, I am using common sense which God gave me. It's like when God says, "Thou shalt not kill" and then He allows Isreal to go to other countries and kill the inhabitants. If you are a skeptic going into the Bible looking for a contradiction, then you might say that was one. But common sense tells you there is a difference and discernment has to be used. Whenever there are posts made about contradictions in the Qu'ran, they are only contradictions if you take its literal meaning. But a Muslim comes on the site and answers those contradictions by using discernment and the context of scripture and not always taking it to be literal. There are no double standards to be taken! This is a common problem you have. Eventhough God made this promise to Abraham's descendants, does that mean God will not punish them if they rebel against God? For along with that passage there are numerous passages which God says He will punish them for their disobediance. The point I'm trying to make is, you take one part of scripture and you like to apply it to today. Their descendants DID inherit the land as God promised, thus fulfilling the prophecy.......PERIOD! Do not try to use "words of trickery" as the Bible implies, to prove corruption. You just keep fulfilling Bible prophecy don't you: Ephesians 4:14- That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; Stop acting like a little child and be a "Lady". |
