ArchivedProve Islam with the BibleIf "that prophet" was refering to Mohammed, then why would the Jews think Mohammed would come before the Messiah? Isn't Mohammed supposed to be the final prophet?(Also something God would have prophesied if it was true). You're asking someone to answer a question on the nature of God. Surely finite beings cannot fully understand God's nature. We cannot comprehend how the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one, but we can apprehend it. That's how God chose to reveal Himself, and that's His revelation to us. You can't change it just because you can't fully understand it. Wrong my friend. The prophecy in Deuteronomy is talking about Jesus: John 12: 49-50- Jesus said, "I don't speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me gave me his own instructions as to what I should say. And I know his instructions lead to eternal life; so I say whatever the Father tells me to say!" New John Gill Exposition- "Eventhough God may take away the Gospel from a people, as he did from the Jews; yet he does not, nor will he, as yet, take it out of the world: he gives it to another "nation"; to the Gentiles." This is not talking about Islam, but Christianity spreading to the Gentiles. The fruits produced is billions of Christians. Atleast twice as many Christians as Muslims. Who has more fruits? Isaiah 53- Isaiah 53:5-6..........But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being {fell} upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him. Isaiah 53:11-12..............As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see {it and} be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors. This was at the time. But when Jesus resurrected, He commanded His desciples to go into Gentile nations and preach the gospel.(Matthew 28:19-20). You are right here. But the law was not yet abolished. Jesus had not died yet. When Jesus died, then sacrificing was to be no more. The veil of the temple was destroyed when Jesus was killed, symoblizing the end of the sacrificial laws. (Matt 27:51, Mark 15:38, Luke 23:45). Jesus was the last sacrifice, fulfilling prophecy in Isaiah 53. John Gill Exposition- as a priest, or as a Saviour and Redeemer, he was sent to make satisfaction and atonement for the sins of all God's elect, and to obtain eternal redemption and salvation for all of them, whether Jews or Gentiles; but as a prophet, in the discharge of his own personal ministry, he was sent by his Father only to the Jews; he was the "minister of the circumcision", [Romans 15:8] that is, a minister to the circumcised Jews; he was sent only to preach the Gospel to them, and work miracles among them, in proof of his Messiahship; and upon their rejection of him, then his apostles were to be sent among the Gentiles; but he himself was sent only to the Jews, here styled "the lost sheep of the house of Israel" I will soon tackle the rest of your comments, or my fellow brothers in Christ might do the same- Lord willing. |
