ArchivedChristianity the Bloodest relegion :: Re: Christianity the Bloodest relegionWars are fought for land, power, status, and economics. Wars fought among pagans, Islam, and other religions involve the massacre of civilians. Stalin, Saddam, and Arab hordes have killed people in the name of some philosophy and in attempts to force a political/relgious system on conquered peoples. What has been done in the name of Christianity is not taught in the Bible. The Bible tells us to "love our enemy" other religions teach thier adherence to "smite unbelievers" or extort money from them. It is interesting that the only posts you make are negative. It is unfortunate you have such a negative outlook on life. Although many tragedies have been perpetrated on mankind in the name of Christianity, Christianity is also the reason you have charitable programs such as free medical clinics, hospitals, programs that seek to feed the world's poor, and help peoples of all nations regardless of race or religion. It is the Christian nations that established the Red Cross, provide trained medical professionals to fight epidemics, etc. A case in point, the 2 Egyptian children joined at the head who were successfully seperated in a Dallas hospital. This single procedure took a couple years of dedicated and expensive care by a Christian nation to aid a single Islamic family and it is being accomplished free of charge to the family. If Christianity is such a horrific religion why is it a nation founded on Christian principles is the nation that expends the time, energy, and financial resources to aid Islamic citizens? Look at Saddam, the Iranians, the Saudi's, they have the wealth to build state of the art hospitals and care for the poor and needy in Islamic nations but they spend thier wealth on palaces, clothes, airplanes, luxuries that make thier personal lives comfortable, and weapons of war and destruction while thier citizens and religious brothers and sisters live in poverty. God will judge those who call upon the name of Christ and then don't keep His commandments. If you are going to judge Christianity do it based on what it teaches, not what people who claim to be Christian do. |
