We'll let unbiased readers be the judge. Leave it at that.
Lady Fatma wrote:Oh dear God. Alpha the Bible clearly says:"God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning-the first day." . The verse is clearly talking about the light for the earth. No other light is in discussion. You go on the write that light was created before the source of light ( sun, moon, stars etc..). I repeat, the verse is very clear on which light God is supposingly speaking on, which is the light of the day and the night. And as I have already mentioned, the cause of light was created after the "light of the day and night".
Well, I guess we're going to have to agree to disagree. You think it is a contradiction to say light was created before the sun, stars, etc, but I think it is not. I think God made light before the sources He used to give the light. I'm not going to sit here and say God does not know what He is doing, simply because it does not make sense compared to my earthly knowledge.
Lday Fatima wrote:"God made two great lights-the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth"
The light that is spoken in these verse, is the light that is in "the expanse of the sky" which "gives light" to the Earth. The lights are the moon and the sun, "which govern during the night" and " during the day" respectively.
The verse before verse 17 mentions that God made the stars. Verse 17 itself is talking about the stars, the greater light, and the lesser light being in the sky to give light over the earth. Where do you see the word "moon"?
The Bible does not say the moon has light of its own.
