The Puzzle metaphor
Perhaps the Puzzle metaphor will help:
God created male and female so that when they come together, they are united in a manner to procreate. It is like a puzzle in which there are two pieces which make up the whole puzzle. Male and female are the two pieces to the puzzle. This unity brings forth another of their own species, either a male or female, or twins, or even triplets or more
Homosexuality, on the other hand, tries to solve the puzzle with only one piece. It can be frustrating to find that one piece which is perfect, even though the piece being looked for is not the one which will solve the puzzle. The obvious source is missing; any real satisfaction cannot be found if one cannot look further than their own gender. To the homosexual, the activity must center on their own reproductive parts.
Sure, artificial means are used; there are just as many for women, as there are for male gays. Maybe some gratification is gained, but it's not a true inner gratification or happiness. Which might explain why some gays are constantly on the search for "the One" -- kind of like Diogenes.
