gay marriage
I am aware of the "mock" marriage ceremonies which some gay couples go through.
However if a legal bonding is going to take place, they might want to choose a different word, not to use the word marriage. Maybe something like legal partnership.
I do not see the United States following suit after Canada or the Netherlands anytime soon, though.
As it is, I'm a bit confused as to why homosexuals would want to marry, anyways. It's not as if it's under the traditional Christian definition of marriage, where the man provides for the wife and children, the wife takes care of her husband and children.
But when you have a gay couple who are both professionals, making what, I think the average is now a joint $100,000, it's not as if you are going to marry out of "necessity," know what I mean?
