ArchivedRascism and hypocracy in ChristianitySo I guess to you, we're just mindless sheep, huh? This has nothing to do with who's a Liberal and who's a Conservative. It has to do with right and wrong. What you are doing is wrong. You rant and rave about how so-called Christians treated you badly, but you support treating homosexuals like you-know-what. No matter how much we disagree with the homosexual lifestyle, our Christian teachings do not give us license to torment gay people, beat them up, call them names, and kill them. Jesus Christ's methods were very simple: hate the sin, but love the sinner. And yes, I am a Conservative. And I'm proud to be a Conservative. However, I am not a sheep who blindly follows every single Conservative Republican who comes along. Believe it or not, I am capable of thinking for myself. I vote for a person whose beliefs and goals are similar to my own. I don't just vote for them because they belong to my political party. And as I've stated I don't know how many times, I would vote for a Democrat, if his or her beliefs and goals were similar to my own. However, I have yet to hear of such a Democrat. Right now, all I see are a bunch of snivelling weasels who, during debates, focus on insulting President Bush, rather than making their beliefs and goals absolutely clear. I'm not interested in witnessing them throwing verbal mud at the President. I'm interested in hearing what they are going to do if - Heaven forbid - they are elected next year. Do you know what I had to do in order to find out what Howard Dean's goals are going to be, should he become President? I had to go to his website! Why? Because all he did during last Tuesday's debate is trash President Bush. So please, sir. Don't refer to us as mindless sheep. Not only is it degrading, it's just plain ludicrous. |
