ChristyJones..
What you have just said is Blasphemy do you realise?
yet christ could have been a superior angelic being who was exalted to the poisition of oneness with god. and it is perhaps this position that lucifer desired. remember he wanted to be god.
The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus was in the beginning with God and was God.. there was never a time when Jesus was just a created being, or a time when he was exalted to God hood. If that were true, our Muslim friends would be so true about Christianity having a multitude of Gods, and worshipping a human being..
Hebrews states it very very clearly...
"For to which of the Angels did God say "You are my Son, today I have become your Father?" Hebrews 1:5
Furthur it clearly states in Hebrews 1:3
"The Son is the radiance of God's glory, and the EXACT representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful Word".
Verse 7 He says
"In speaking of Angels He says " He makes His angels winds, and servants flames of fire." But about the Son He says
Your throne, OH God, will last for ever and ever".
Yes, Lucifer wanted this postition.. but it was not a competition between Christ and Lucifer.. Mormon doctrine teaches that Jesus and Lucifer were brothers.. this is not Christianity.. Jesus Christ was, is and always will be God!
